Amy Winehouse

Featured Celebrity

September 14, 1983 – July 23, 2011

“If you can’t sort something out for yourself, no one can help you.”

Amy Winehouse

We all laughed at her.  She made it so easy.

Aside from her being a psychological and physical disaster, I’ve only ever heard good things about her as a human.  She was described as “a sparkly character,” and she always had a moment for fans.  Even if they rang her doorbell unannounced, Amy would always spare the time.  That alone sets her apart from most.

On the downside, while on holiday back in 2009: a source at a resort claimed that “She walks around in the same grimy bikini bottoms each day with her boobs on show, gets drunk, gropes waiters and is rude to male staff. She’s hardly the most popular guest.”

Hell knows she had a lot of personal problems – all of which can easily be found elsewhere.  At the time of her death, a lot of people commented that she looked better than she had in a long time.

Her PR spokesperson Chris Goodman said, “Amy was on her own at home apart from a security guard who we had appointed to help look after her over the past couple of years.  [at 10pm] She was in her bedroom after saying she wanted to sleep and when we went to wake her he found she wasn’t breathing.”

Police were called by London Ambulance to an address in Camden Square NW1 shortly before 16.05hrs today, Saturday 23, July, following reports of a woman found directory.  On arrival officers found the body of a 27-year-old female who was pronounced dead at the scene.   Enquiries continue into the circumstances of the death.  At this early stage, it is being treated as unexplained. Read More
